Our proprietary VAETEC® aluminum coating is UL recognized on select plastic resins. The coating is tested for electrical conductivity and adhesion, providing EMI shielding performance that meets UL standards.

ROHS and REACH Compliance
All materials used in our aluminum coating and Form-In-Place gasket processes are reviewed for ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) compliance.
We work closely with our material suppliers to ensure compliance with evolving global standards. Documentation and certificates of conformity are available upon request.
VTI Vacuum Technologies certifies that our aluminum metalized coatings are in compliance with the European Directive and do not contain any of the specified substances therein. These are:
- lead (0.1%) with the exception of up to 4% in copper alloy
- mercury (≤0.1%)
- cadmium (≤0.01%)
- hexavalent chromium (≤0.1%)
- polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) (≤0.1%)
- and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)
